Skincare Tips: Here's how you can prevent skin ageing with home remedies

Just like our body, our skin also ages. After our mid 20's our skin begins to change. It starts to age slowly and we see fine lines and wrinkles and whatnot. We use so many beauty and skincare products that are so full of chemicals and all the pollution we come in contact with are other factors that make our skin age. But that's not all, we also have a busy lifestyle and all the stress takes a toll on your skin in the long run. This is why it is essential to care for your skin before it's too late. Before your skin starts sagging and gets wrinkled, you should start caring for it and the best way to nourish your skin and prevent ageing is by using home remedies. You can simply make some anti-ageing face packs to keep your skin healthy and young at home.

Here are some recipes for anti-ageing face packs.

1. Turmeric and yoghurt have healing properties and helps delay skin ageing. Make a face mask by mixing half a spoon of turmeric powder with 1 tablespoon of curd. Apply this on your face and let it dry for up to 20 minutes before you rinse it off.

2. Beat an egg and mix it with 2 spoons of honey and some water. Mix it well and make a smooth mixture and apply a thin layer on your face and neck. Let it dry and then rinse with water. Eggs help nourish the skin and tighten it. This face pack prevents your skin from sagging.

3. Take 2 spoons of gram flour and 2 spoons of masoor dal. Grind the masoor dal and mix it with the besan and add some water to this mixture. Make a smooth paste and ensure that there are no lumps. These ingredients prevent and reduce wrinkles and makes your skin look younger.

4. Banana has lots of vitamins and proteins and other nutrients. It hydrates your skin and nourishes it. It moisturizes your skin and reduces ageing lines and wrinkles. Mash half a banana and mix a spoon of honey and a spoon of curd and mix it well. Apply this on your face and let it sit for 20 minutes before you wash it off.

5. Make a mask with rice water and paper towels. Soak a bowl of rice in water overnight and boil it in the morning. Drain the rice and soak some paper towels in this water for 15 minutes. Take it out and squeeze the extra water. Put this on your face and let it stay for 30 minutes and then wash your face. Rice contains starch and flavonoid that helps smoothen and tighten your skin and make it look much younger.

6. Pumpkin is known for its anti-ageing qualities. It nourishes your skin and makes it look younger. Take some pumpkin and crush it into a pulp. Mix some honey in it if you want and apply it on your face. Rinse it after 20 minutes.
