Vincenzo star Kwak Dong Yeon to show his duality in new murder mystery short film opposite Ahn So Hee
Kwak Dong Yeon will appear in tvN drama short film Gwanjong on March 17.
Fans may recognise Kwak Dong Yeon as Jang Han Seo from Vincenzo. Jang Han Seo is Jang Jun Woo's half-brother and the previous Chairman's illegitimate son. He publicly acts as the Chairman of Babel Group in his brother's place. He appears rude, cocky and pretentious but in reality, is extremely dim-witted and afraid of his older brother, played by Ok Taecyeon. The rising star has been cast in yet another project, tvN Drama short film Gwanjong, opposite Ahn So Hee.
tvN Drama Stage is a special platform that gives rookie writers, an opportunity to showcase their talent. The series will have a total of 10 episodes, a new short film per episode. According to Sports Dong A, Gwanjong is a slang that means attention seeker. The story is about a girl, Yoo Ha Na (played by Ahn So Hee) who lies about being from a rich family to become a famous influencer. However, she gets kidnapped by a murderer. The murderer is revealed to be Kang Tae Soo, played by Kwak Dong Yeon. Kang Tae Soo is debt-ridden and has been working extremely hard for the past ten years. Yoo Ha Na flaunting her wealth and boasting her five-digit income angers him to the extent that he kidnaps her, However, he soon discovers her reality.
Kwak Dong Yeon's portrayal of a cruel criminal and a financially troubled young man, who is focused on paying off debts without any pleasure in his 20s, aims to show the double-sided life his character leads. Kwak Dong Yeon will be appearing in the 5th short film. It will air on March 17, 2021.
