Vincenzo delivers another weekend that shows us something that's not much different from Mr. Queen’s balance between serious and comedy. On March 7, tvN's drama starring Song Joong Ki, "Vincenzo", recorded an average nationwide viewership rating of 11.1 percent. It is the highest viewership rating of any episode of the drama so far as well as the highest recorded ratings among the dramas, currently broadcasting, in the same time slot.

Babel Chemicals - BLSD

Babel Chemicals is a subsidiary of Babel Group and helps in manipulating stocks. Babel Chemicals is producing, rather manufacturing, a certain chemical - BLSD. One of the researchers working with it coughs up blood and is then diagnosed with leukemia. Hong Cha Young and Vincenzo, after a series of events, represent the families of victims of drug RDU-90 and the monks who are the guardians of the aforementioned researcher.

Jipuragi vs Woosang

Hong Cha Young and Vincenzo inform Mr. Han and Choi Myung Hee that they would represent the victims' families. If Babel Chemicals admits its wrongdoings, apologises sincerely, sufficiently compensates the victims, and ceases manufacturing of BLSD, they would withdraw the lawsuit. Jang Jun Woo learns of Choi Myung Hee's plans. A war seems to be brewing.

Courtroom Comedy

Hong Cha Young and advisor Vincenzo, since he cannot practice in Korea, need time. Time for them to be creative, which doesn't seem that difficult, considering last week's episode. Among panic attacks, blackouts and what seems like hornet attacks, the courtroom scenes end and are postponed to a date a week later.

Bugs and Drinks

Choi Myung Hee has very slyly planted recording devices aka bugs in Jipuragi. Our leads are a step ahead and have already messed with them. Hong Cha Young asks Vincenzo out for a drink believing it to help make them work better together. But we know it's because she's warming up to him. He reveals about the gold underneath the plaza but drunk Hang Cha Young thinks he's kidding.

Jang Jun Woo's reveal

Mr. Han and Choi Myung Hee are called in Chairman Jang's office for a meeting but Jang Jun Woo is the one presenting. He reveals himself as the real boss of Babel. He asks Choi Myung Hee to present him a list of those they need to pay off for the trial. Criticising Woosang's performance, he lets them know about Vincenzo holding the reigns during the trial.

Losing witnesses

The treasurer of Babel's victims group is attacked on the way home. The next day, the news reports that he embezzled donations in the past two years. Meanwhile, Hong Cha Young receives a call from Mr. Nam. The court has rejected their witnesses including Lee U Yeong. Apparently, they "found" meth in his blood.

The next hearing

We then cut forward five days to the second hearing. Hilariously, there’s a bee expert on hand this time, just in case. With the tables stacked against Geumga Plaza, they’re forced to listen to these various testimonies. Hong Cha Young suddenly springs forth a surprise witness as a trump card. That person happens to be none other than Vincenzo Cassano, who’s brought in by a police officer.

Dun-dun-dun-dun-dun. Quite an unexpected witness but that's the fun part about "Vincenzo"; it gives us some very interesting cliffhangers. Director An spying Vincenzo messing about with the electrical scanners was a great moment in the latest episode, playing on clever ideas and long-form gags that have been the staple of this drama so far. For the most part, this has been quite enjoyable with enough "oomph" that makes us keep watching to find out what's next.
