WATCH: Throwback video of Dimple Kapadia on Nana Patekar is going viral for the right reasons
After 10 years, Tanushree Dutta again spoke about the alleged sexual harassment by Nana Patekar on the sets of Horn Ok Pleassss. While this issue has left people puzzled as to whom to believe and who to not, a Twitter user shared a video in which Dimple Kapadia called Nana obnoxious.
Tanushree Dutta spoke about the sexual harassment by Nana Patekar on the sets of Horn Ok Pleassss ten years ago. The first time she talked about it, no one supported her. However, now the actress has again shared how Nana Patekar along with choreographer Ganesh Acharya misbehaved with her and harassed her on the sets when she refused to do an intimate dance number with Nana. The actor later called MNS party members who attacked Tanushree's vanity van on the sets while she was sitting inside.
When she shared the story 10 years ago, Tanushree had no one to stand up for her. However, now, many celebs like Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Swara Bhasker, Richa Chadha, Sonam K Ahuja stood up for her. While many people lauded Dutta for taking a stand against Nana Patekar and exposing him, some believe she is doing it for publicity. One of the Twitter users shared a video in which actress Dimple Kapadia talked about Nana's behaviour in a throwback interview. The actress said, "I think he is obnoxious." When asked if it was in a good or a bad way, Dimple was hesitant initially and said, " In a good and a bad way."
She added, "As far as his talent goes, there's no match to him. He is an extremely talented man. When I see talent like him, sau khoon maaf hai. Sab kuch maaf hai. Meri jaan bhi lelo. (When I see talent like him, 100 murders are forgiven. Everything can be forgiven. Take my life too). That's the effect he has on me. But, as a person, with me he has been very, very nice, kind and a good friend. But I have also seen his dark side. We all have a dark side which is nicely and safely kept aside."
Twinkle Khanna also shared a tweet supporting Tanushree Dutta. She tweeted, "Please read this thread before judging or shaming #TanushreeDutta a working environment without harassment and intimidation is a fundamental right and by speaking up this brave woman helps pave the way towards that very goal for all of us!"
