A Death in the Gunj: Konkana's Maiden Directorial Promises to be a Lively Yet Sensitive Coming of Age Drama
There can be no denying that during her reasonably eventful association with the Hindi film industry Konkana Sen Sharma has carved a niche for herself thanks to her powerful performances, enchanting screen presence and elegant style statement. Now, she is all set to add a new dimension to her career. The official trailer of her maiden directorial venture A Death in the Gunj has been released. And well it is quite effective!
The trailer makes it clear that the film is based on true events. Moreover, it highlights that this drama revolves around the challenges and difficulties involved with coming of age. Featuring Vikrant Massey, Kalki Koechlin, Ranvir Shorey and Om Puri in the lead, A Death in the Gunj went on floors this February and was shot in six weeks.
It was launched in the presence of veteran lyricist Gulzar and noted director Vishal Bhardwaj.
