The official teaser of Arvind Swamy’s eagerly-awaited Hindi film Dear Dad has finally been released. And to say the very least, it has managed to strike the right chords thanks to its emotional presentation.  Interestingly, the film is the actor’s first Hindi film in over 15 years. His last Hindi movie Raja Ko Rani Se Pyaar Hogaya was released in 2000.

Judging by the teaser, Dear Dad is a bittersweet coming of age story; about a father-son duo – 14 year old Shivam, and his 45 year old dad Nitin Swaminathan. It highlights how they embark on an impromptu road trip from their home, in Delhi, to Mussorie (Uttarakhand), where Shivam attends boarding school.

Interestingly, some time ago, Arvind had revealed that he agreed to do the film as its plot intrigued him a lot. This will be his first outing of the year. He was last seen essaying a negative role in the Tamil blockbuster Thani Oruvan and received rave reviews for his performance.
