Sri Lanka vs India, ICC World Cup 2019: Key players from the Men in Blue to watch out for
The Men in Blue will play their match against Sri Lanka today at Headingley Carnegie, Leeds.
The Indian cricket team have already qualified for the semi-finals and will aim to top the points table in this match against the Lankans. Despite having a balanced bowling unit, the team has struggled in their previous matches as far as their batting is concerned. This Virat Kohli led side will look forward to rectify their mistakes in this match before heading to the semi-finals of the big tournament. Let’s have a look at the key players to watch out for.
1. Rohit Sharma- This Indian opener without a doubt has been the most consistent player for the team. He has smashed four centuries in the tournament so far, most by any player in this World Cup. It wouldn’t be wrong to conclude that the Indian batting line-up is largely dependent on vice captain, Rohit Sharma and skipper, Virat Kohli who has also been extremely consistent with his batting. In the previous match against Bangladesh, Rohit Smashed a brilliant 104 runs off only 92 deliveries which resulted in the team’s win by 28 runs.

2. Jasprit Bumrah- This young bowler who is playing his first 50-over World Cup has been the team’s greatest asset in the tournament. Over the past few years, Bumrah has proved his worth in the team with his exceptional bowling. In the previous match against Bangladesh, Bumrah took four crucial wickets for the team in his 10-over spell with an exceptional economy of 5.50. Team India’s bowling line-up is far more balanced than the Lankans and the Men in Blue will look forward to restrict them to a low total at Leeds today.
