Director Atlee Kumar, as we all know has been into several controversies in the past for his movies Mersal and Theri. The director has geared up for his next big project Bigil starring Thalapathy Vijay in lead. While the film is creating a huge buzz since its inception, the director had landed himself in another trouble yet again. The upcoming film ran into troubled waters over allegations of plagiarism. KP Selvah (some reports say Shiva) had filed a complaint with the South Indian Film Writers' Association and sought for restraining the shoot of Bigil for taking away his story for a feature film and developing it into a full-fledged feature film.

Now according to reports, Chennai City Civil Court has dismissed Bigil Plagiarism case filed by KP Selva. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to twitter and revealed about the same. He wrote, “#BREAKING : #Chennai City Civil Court dismisses #Bigil Plagiarism case filed by #KPSelvah The petitioner wanted to withdraw the case, with an intent to file a new suit later.. But court dismissed the case saying no fresh suit can be filed.” Check out the whole hearing details of the case below that has been shared on Twitter. Check it out:

Earlier, the spokesperson of Bigil told Silverscreen that such claims are quite normal. “Without even knowing the story, how can the rights be claimed? Football-based films are made in Hindi, unique movies on Kabbadi are being made. Not all can come forward and say the story is theirs. Everyone has an imagination, and sometimes coincidences happen.”

KP Selva’s noted film are Amaravathi, Karnaa, Pooveli, James Pandu, Unnaruge Naan Irundhal, Student Number 1 and Naan Avanillai. He introduced Ajith Kumar through his second film Amaravathi.
