Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda recently visited Mumbai to meet Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar. Vijay's upcoming film Dear Comrade has found its Hindi remake even before its release, thanks to Karan Johar who has bought Hindi remake rights of the romantic-drama. During his one day stay in Mumbai, Vijay met Karan and also showed him his film, Dear Comrade. However, the actor won't be starring in the Hindi remake. Well, the Arjun Reddy star recently spoke up about why he doesn't want to do Hindi films.

In an interview with Anupama Chopra, Deverakonda said, "it is interesting....doing Hindi is interesting but I want to do something that is Telugu and Hindi. Something that works back home and here. I can't see myself shifting here at an apartment as my friends are back home. I love the laid back, lazy lifestyle. I can't work like 5 guys every day photographing me. It serves the purpose but I don't think I would like it every day and I think Mumbai is too fast for me. I like to do things on my own terms.."

He further added, "Now cinema has reached the space where you don't have to be in Bombay to make... it is beautiful that we are all aware of each other and connected...so respectful of each other's art. It has become a cool space."

The actor was also asked about why he rejected to star in Kabir Singh remake and now Dear Comrade, to this he replied, "Because I didn't want to become Hindi film hero, I wanted to become an actor, tell stories, and I feel no point in telling the same stories twice. I spend so much energy on a film I do it... I can't redo entire emotions...It's not exciting for me because I know the scenes. I wouldn't want to waste six months doing the same."

So proud to have this man, watch, love and be the one to remake our baby #DearComrade in Hindi. Team Dear Comrade Comrade @karanjohar biggest hugs, love and respect for you. Can't wait to do something mad with you and @dharmamovies #DearComradeOnJuly26th

He further said that he did reject Karan Johar's proposal to star in Dear Comrade Hindi remake, but also expressed to do films with him. He said, "I have other scripts to look at but not Dear Comrade."
