Sivakarthikeyan is currently working on PS Mithran's upcoming project titled Hero, while the Dear Comrade star Vijay Deverakonda will be featuring in a film which will be helmed by director Anand Annamalai. This film starring superstar Vijay Deverakonda has also been titled as Hero. Now, the producers of the two films titled Hero have locked horns in order to get the rights for the title Hero. Tribal Arts which is producing the Dear Comrade actor Vijay Deverakonda's film Hero has openly called out KJR Studios for using the titled of Hero even as Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council (TFPC) has not given them the permission to do so. The producers, Tribal Arts, had registered the film Hero's title with the Producers Council in 2017 and have regularly renewed the registration for the title. Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council gave a letter to Tribal Arts, that the title of Hero belongs to them when the controversy about the title Hero came to light.
In a fresh attempt to stop KJR studious from using the title Hero, Tribal Arts has sent KJR studious a legal notice to not make use of the title on any promotional material of their film. PS Mithran along with his team had released some promotional material with the film's title as Hero. Now, with the battle over the title Hero gets stronger, the fans are wondering which star will ultimately get the official title of Hero for their film.
