Ask any fan of Kollywood cinema one of their favourite films will be 96 starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles. The film narrated a beautiful story of two people who revisit their high school days and old crush. Apart from the splendid storyline, Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha’s acting in the film was lauded by fans and critics alike. Ram and Jaanu have become one of the most iconic characters of the Kollywood film industry and no one can deny that fact.
Talking during the audio launch of Karthik Subbaraj directorial Petta, Vijay Sethupathi, who played the antagonist in the film made Trisha Krishnan grin ear to ear, why calling her ‘his Jaanu’ not once but repeatedly. The video was released in the year 2018 by Sun TV’s YouTube channel during the audio launch. Petta had Rajinikanth in the lead role, while Trisha was seen as his leading lady. The film had an ensemble of star cast including Simran, Malavika Mohanan and Sasikumar, while critically acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui was seen as the main antagonist.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi has a huge lineup of films in his kitty including Kadaisi Vivasaayi, Laabam among the others. He was last seen in the Tollywood film Uppena where he played the main antagonist. On the other hand, Trisha Krishnan will be next seen in the magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan directed by Mani Ratnam. The film has an ensemble of star cast including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi and Karthi among the others.
