We are back with our weekly edition of 'South Newsmakers'. It was quite a dull week but a few teasers and movie announcements managed to keep it lit. This week moviegoers were treated with the much-awaited announcement about Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam's teaser. Also, Mohanlal’s upcoming film Drishyam 2's teaser was released this week and it has set high expectations. Simbu starrer Maanaadu teaser was also the talk of the town. 1. Sulthan Teaser: Karthi and Rashmika Mandanna's upcoming film Sulthan teaser was released this week and it took social media by storm. Sharing the teaser on Twitter, Karthi wrote, "#Sulthan, a honest effort to bring a complete family entertainer with humor, romance, action & strong man to man relationship. Hope you all like it." 2. Adipurush: Prabhas shared an exciting new update about his upcoming magnum opus Adipurush. The Baahubali star took to Instagram and shared the logo poster of the film that read 'Aarambh'. He captioned his post stating, "#Adipurush aarambh." Om Raut is helming the project and it also stars Saif Ali Khan.

3. Sumanth Ashwin marriage: Telugu actor Sumanth Ashwin to tie the knot on February 13. Acclaimed producer and director MS. Raju took to social media and shared the news about his son's marriage. He wrote, "We're immensely Happy to announce the wedding of our son Chi. #Sumanth with Chi. #Deepika on Feb 13th 2021. Given the unusual times, the wedding is going to be a very private affair. Although we deeply miss ur presence, we shall rejoice your love & blessings to the newly weds." 

4. Maanaadu Teaser: Maanaadu teaser was released this week and Silambarasan TR can be seen making a massy entry with a power-packed BGM in Venkat Prabhu directorial. On Simbu's birthday, the makers treated fans with the first look of the upcoming Tamil film. Check it out below.

5. Bheeshma Parvam first look: Dulquer Salmaan took to social media and shared the first look of his father Mammootty's upcoming film. "Presenting to you the exciting first look of Bheeshma Parvam. How epic does this look. When this team comes together I go back to being a fan boy watching Big B wide eyed. I can’t wait to watch this slick entertainer on the big screen. All the best to Amalettan and the entire team. #fanboyfirst," DQ wrote as he shared fierce first look of Mammootty.

6. Drishyam 2 teaser: Mohanlal’s upcoming film Drishyam 2 has been the talk of the town since its inception and audience can't wait to know what's in store for them. The makers of Drishyam 2 released the teaser and announced that the film will get a direct release on Amazon Prime on February 19.
