The actor was seen in his father T Rajendhar's Uravai Kaatha Kili, making it his debut as an actor. The movie was released on July 18, 1984. This year, it movie's anniversary marks Simbu's 35 years in the industry. The actor has been a part of several films like Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada and Valu.
Although his career has been riding through troubled waters, the love from his fans has not seen a drop. In the most heartwarming gesture possible, fans of STR are planning a unique way to mark Simbu's 35th anniversary in the Tamil cinema. A group of fans of the actor from Madurai has something unusual in their mind. As per a Times of India report, fans in the Tamil Nadu city have decided to erect a huge poster in the city to mark Simbu's career milestone. The poster is reportedly 500-feet tall and it will be erected in the city to ring in STR's 35th year in Tamil cinema. It is still unclear what the poster would feature. But we sure are excited to find out.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Simbu is busy filming his upcoming untitled Tamil movie. The movie is a remake of the Kannada blockbuster Mufti. The film sees the actor played an undercover cop. The actor is also likely to stars filming Maanaadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu, soon. The actor was also in the news for his cameo in his ex-girlfriend Hansika Motwani's movie, Maha.
