The film, Rakshasudu will have Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Anupama Parameshwaran as the lead pair. The film is a Telugu remake of Vishnu Vishal's film titled Ratchasan. The story of the film is said to revolve around a serial killer. The trailer of the film only proves that the audience members can expect an edge of the seat thriller in Rakshasudu. As per reports, the director of the film, Ramesh Varma was looking forward to a concept story after his film Ride.

While talking about the film, the director said it was a tough job to get the remake rights as there were many other producers who were trying to buy the remake rights. He further adds that he was glad that he could direct the Telugu version of this edgy thriller. The director while speaking about the lead role said that he wanted Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas as the lead as he would bring a fresh look to the character who is trying to hunt a serial killer. He also states that there were other male actors who wanted to play the lead in this film.

The director states about the story that remaking is a difficult task and he gave the examples of films like Oh! Baby and Arjun Reddy which were successful films. Both the films did well at the box office. Rakshasudu's music is composed by Ghibran. Devi Sri Prasad’s brother Sagar has written the dialogues for this film. The fans are now eagerly waiting to see this film as the film's trailer has generated a lot of curiosity in the film.
