In what has come as an unexpected piece of exciting news, director Desingh Periyasamy, who made his debut with the popular film Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, is all set to tie the knot with actress and costume designer Niranjani Agathiyan. It is to be noted that Niranjani played a key role in the film. Filmmaker Thiru, who is Niranjani's brother-in-law, took to Twitter to share the wedding invitation of Desingh and Niranjani. 

Though it has now been revealed that the couple is set to tie the knot soon, no information regarding their wedding date or venue is out yet. It is expected that the same will be announced by the couple. Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Ritu Varma in the lead roles, had Gautam Vasudev Menon, Niranjani and Rakshan in key roles. It also marked Niranjani’s acting debut.

It was during the filming of Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal that Desingh and Niranjani fell in love with each other. It is reported that both the families of Desingh and Niranjani came together and a grand wedding ceremony is on the cards for the couple. Sharing the news, director Thiru took to Twitter and shared a photo of the invitation, captioning it "Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal?? Kalyanam !! (sic)," with a heart emoji. It is reported that the couple will have a beach wedding and it will happen in February this year. However, an official announcement regarding the wedding date has not been made yet.
