Rajinikanth’s next to be directed by Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal director Desingh Periyasamy?
Desingh Peritasamy shot to his fame after his film Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal starring Dulquer Salmaan, Ritu Varma, Rakshan and Niranjani got released.
In August last year, Desingh Periyasamy took to his Twitter space and stated that he received a call from an important person and his film Kannum Kannum Kollayadithaal was appreciated. Later, it was revealed that the person who lauded the film was none other than Superstar Rajinikanth. Now, a new report has come up stating that Rajinikanth’s next film after Annaatthe will be directed by Desingh. While there is no official word on this report, it has still made the fans go gaga on social media.
About Rajinikanth’s appreciation on Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, Desingh initially did not reveal who called him to appreciate. However, an audio clip of Rajinikanth surfaced online, where he was all praises for the director. A few hours later, Desingh tweeted another post and addressed the audio leak. He said he was totally unhappy about the audio leak and wished it did not happen. However, he thanked everyone who congratulated him. He wrote, “Personally I am not happy about the audio leak. In fact, I did not even mention Thalaivar’s name in my tweet. But it happened”.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth will be next seen in Annaatthe directed by Siruthai Siva. The film, which is touted to be a rural drama, has four leading ladies namely Meena, Khushbu Sundar, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh. Prakash Raj, Soori and Sathish will be seen playing the other supporting roles. The shooting process is expected to be restarted soon. It was brought to a halt after four crew members tested positive for COVID 19, after which Rajinikanth fell sick.
