Jayasurya to play an IAS officer in his upcoming film Puzhikkadakan
The actor has now opted to do a film based on a real-life IAS officer for his upcoming film titled, Puzhikkadakan. Jayasurya had also played the character of former Indian football captain V P Sathyan in the film called Captain.
Actor Jayasurya is clearly fond of essaying characters that are based on real life people or incidents. The actor has now opted to do a film based on a real-life IAS officer for his upcoming film titled, Puzhikkadakan. Jayasurya had played the character of former Indian football captain V P Sathyan in the film called Captain. The actor will also essay the role of legendary actor Sathyan in the biopic. The film, Puzhikkadakan will star actor Chemban Vinod Jose in the lead and Jayasurya will be playing the role of an IAS officer.
Puzhikkadakan is helmed by first time director Gireesh Nair. The director says Jayasurya's character is that of a young collector who had influenced the situation of Kerala. The director also adds that the name of this IAS officer will not be revealed any time soon to generate curiosity among the audience members till the film hits the big screen. Gireesh, had previously worked as an assistant director on films like Kaliyoonjal and Arabikkatha.
When quizzed about getting Jayasurya on board the director says that he wanted someone like Jayasurya as the role is very crucial to the film and in a way manages to navigate the story of this film. Actor Jayasurya loved the script of this film and agreed to come on board. Jayasurya's character according to the director is said to be very real and truthful in nature. The director has also written the script of this film with Shyal Sathish and Hariprasad Koleri. This film is expected to be a family drama.
