Kollywood superstar Vijay who is popularly known as Thalapathy (Commander) by his fans has turns 45 today. Born on June 22, 1974, the actor and playback singer is one of the highest paid actors in Tamil cinema. Many do not know that he started off his acting journey at the age of 10. Yes, he debuted as a child artist in a movie called Vetri. He featured in many movies as a child actor before appearing as the lead actor at the age of 18 in the movie Naalaiya Theerpu. He is best known for his movies such as Thuppakki, Mersal, Kaththi, Ghilli and Thulladha Manamum Thullum among others.

The actor has been in the news of late for Thalapathy 63 and looks of the movie. The same has been titled as Bigil. For the unversed, he is playing dual roles in the movie. The movie which is directed by Atlee is one of the much awaited films of the year. Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo role in the movie.
