Halitha Shameem’s Aelay: Trailer of the Samuthirakani starrer promises a heartwarming family drama; Watch

The wait is finally over and it is a visual treat to the fans of Halitha Shameem. Yes, after a long wait, the makers have finally revealed the trailer of her upcoming directorial Aelay. In the trailer, what we see is a dotting father and how he carries a cool attitude with his kids. The trailer takes us through the life of the father and his kids and it is expected that the film will narrate a heartwarming family entertainer.

Taking to his Twitter space, Vijay Sethupathi shared the trailer and wrote, “Dir @halithashameem #Aelay #ஏலே Trailer is so heartwarming. My very favourite @PushkarGayatri’s first. All the best to the team. #AelayFromFeb12 #AdaavadiAppa” It has also been revealed that the film will hit the big screens on February 12th. As soon as the trailer was released, fans went gaga on Twitter lauding it.

The film’s release was initially planned to be released on August 27, 2020. However, it did not happen owing to the pandemic situation. Touted to be a neo-realistic comedy-drama, the film is set in a rural background. It will narrate the story of a father-son duo. While Samuthirakani plays the father, Manikandan K of Kaala fame plays the son. The rest of the cast will be non-actors from the village of Manjunayakanpatti in Dindugal district, where the film was shot on a single schedule. Pushkar-Gayathri of Vikram Veda fame are the creative directors of the highly anticipated film.
