Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan all set to make his big-screen debut with Tamil film Chiyaan Vikram 58

Irfan Pathan, who had once impressed us with his impeccable bowling skills, is all set to embark a new professional journey. The former Indian cricketer will soon be seen making his acting debut with a Tamil movie which is tentatively titled as Chiyaan Vikram 58. Reportedly, Irfan has been roped in to play a key role in the movie which stars Tamil superstar Vikram in the lead. The movie will be helmed by Ajay Gnanamuthu who has earlier directed movies like Demonte Colony and Imaikka Nodigal, etc.

Confirming the news about his acting debut, Irfan took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the big news with his fans and expressed his excitement for this new venture. In fact, he even shared an 18-second teaser video highlighting the statistics of his stunning cricketing journey as he adds another feather to his cap. Although Irfan didn’t divulge in any details in any details about his acting debut, he mentioned that he is looking forward to this new challenge in his career. “New venture, new challenge looking forward to it @AjayGnanamuthu  @iamarunviswa @7screenstudio @arrahman @Lalit_SevenScr #ChiyaanVikram58 @sooriaruna @proyuvraaj @LokeshJey @VishalSaroee,” he tweeted.

Soon, director Ajay Gnanamuthu also shared a picture with Irfan on Twitter as he expressed his happiness of having the former all-rounder on board for Chiyaan Vikram 58. “Welcome on board @IrfanPathan Can’t wait to unleash your new avatar to the audience!! Time for some solid action!!” Ajay tweeted.

Apart from Irfan and Vikram, the movie will also star Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead. Apparently, the movie will a high octane action thriller and will have a Summer 2020 release. As of now, Irfan is seen in the expert panel in the ongoing India vs South Africa Test series.
