EXCLUSIVE: Mammootty on competition with Mohanlal: We should compete but not in real life

Mammootty and Mohanlal, the superstars of Malayalam film industry have set some real friendship goals for us. It has been extremely wonderful to watch how these two brilliant actors have maintained their friendship since decades. The friendship and the mutual admiration that have for each other is unbeatable. After doing over 55 films together, Mammootty recently spoke his heart out about his friendship with Mohanlal. In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla for his upcoming film Mamangam, Mammootty discussed his relationship with his buddy Mohanlal.
Speaking about Mohanlal, he said, "We started together and were together for a long time before we became the so-called stars. It is still there, we have not lost our friendship." When questioned about if there was any competition between the duo then, Mammootty said, "We should compete in terms of performance, choosing films... Competition should be there but not in real life because films are competitive and not us." From getting candid about his struggle to speaking about his son Dulquer Salmaan, Mammootty spoke his heart out.

Talking about his upcoming film Mamangam, the teaser of the film was released today and it received a positive response by the audience on Twitter. The upcoming historical drama is directed by M Padmakumar. The film also stars Achutan, Sudev Nair, Siddique, Unni Mukundan, Sureshkrishna, and Manikkuttan. The film is all set to release on November 21, 2019 in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
