Dhanush’s Karnan: Makers release first single Kandaa Vara Sollunga from the Mari Selvaraj directorial
Mari Selvaraj, who has directed the film, has penned the lyrics for Karnan Azhaippu, which is a folk number.
The makers of Dhanush’s upcoming film Karnan released the film’s first single titled Karnan Azhaippu yesterday, which is a folk number. Lyrics of the song were penned by director Mari Selvaraj, while Kidakkuzhi Mariyammal and Santhosh Narayanan crooned the song. Santhosh Narayanan, who composed music for the song, had earlier revealed that he has watched the film and he was mightily impressed with it. This song has come as a treat to the fans who were waiting to see more updates.
Apart from Dhanush and Rajisha Vijayan, Karnan stars Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli, Lal, Natarajan Subramanian, Yogi Babu, Alagamperumal, Gouri G Kishan among others in the key roles. The team wrapped up the shoot on 9th December and the makers had announced that the film will hit the big screens on April 9th. It is expected that the makers will announce updates about the film’s teaser and trailer soon.
Meanwhile Dhanush currently has 6 films in his kitty including Karthik Subbaraj's Jagame Thandhiram, Bollywood film Atrangi Re, Selvaraghavan's Aayirathil Oruvan 2, Hollywood film 'The Gray Man' directed by Russo Brothers, a yet to be titled project with Malavika Mohanan and Naane Varuven with Selvaraghavan. Recently, photos of the Asuran actor surfaced online where he was seen at the airport. Hearsay has that he is off to the US to shoot for the Hollywood film The Gray Man. It is expected that the makers of Jagame Thandhiram will make an official announcement regarding the film’s release soon.
