Chiyaan 60: Vikram and Dhruv begin shoot for Karthik Subbaraj's film; Santosh Narayanan onboard

Director Karthik Subbaraj has kickstarted the shooting of his next film starring father-son duo Vikram and Dhruv. Tentatively called Chiyaan 60,  the makers have roped in Santhosh Narayanan for composing the music. Earlier today, Karthik Subbaraj took to Twitter and asked his fans to send love and blessings as he starts shooting for the film from today. “Yes… It’s A Santosh Narayanan Musical!! Welcome to the Gang @Music_Santhosh Thanks @anirudhofficial for your understanding & Support … #Chiyaan60 shoot starts from TODAY… Need all your Support, Blessings and Love Folded hands (sic),” he wrote on his Twitter account.

The film is being bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio. Initially, music director Anirudh Ravichander was brought on board, but now he has been replaced with Santhosh Narayanan. Chiyaan 60 is the talk of the town since its inception as for the first time Vikram and Dhruv will be seen sharing the screen space. Chiyaan 60 was announced last year in 2020 and the makers also shared the first look that has set high expectations among the moviegoers. Meanwhile, check out Karthik Subbaraj's latest tweet below.

This is the second film of Dhruv Vikram, who made his acting debut with the movie Adithya Varma. He actually made his acting debut with Bala's Varmaa, a remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy by Sandeep Vanga. However, the release of the film was stalled after the producer was not happy about the final cut. The film was relaunched as Adithya Varma with Vanga's assistant Giressaya onboard as a debutant director.
