Bigil: TN govt issues notice to college for hosting audio launch of Vijay starrer; meat shop owners protest
According to media reports, the Department of Higher Education (Tamil Nadu) has sent a notice to Sai Ram College of Engineering for permitting to conduct the audio launch event of Bigil in the college's premises.
Vijay's upcoming film Bigil has landed into trouble, not for one but two reasons. The makers of the film recently hosted a grand audio launch event of the film at a college in Chennai. Vijay's speech was one of the highlights; however, his comment on TN's current political situation grabbed everyone's attention. Now according to media reports, the Department of Higher Education (Tamil Nadu) has sent a notice to Sai Ram College of Engineering for permitting to conduct the audio launch event of Bigil in the college's premises.
Post the audio launch, even the makers and the organisers were bashed for poorly managing the crowd at the event. Fake passes were permitted and allowed at the event while one of the original passes were denied to be a part of audio launch. Meanwhile, Vijay's Bigil is also facing backlash over reportedly portraying the meat sellers in a bad light. According to reports, a meat shop owner created ruckus at a police station in Coimbatore by tearing the poster of Vijay's Bigil. Gopal, a meat seller, along with the others are against the posters for portraying them in the bad light. They have demanded to chop the scene from the final cut of Bigil.
Touted to be a sports drama, the film stars Nayanthara in the female lead, while Jackie Shroff plays an important role. The music of the film has been composed by AR Rahman.
