The makers of Thalapathy Vijay starrer Bigil recently hosted a grand audio launch event of the film in Chennai. Touted to be a sports drama, the film stars Nayanthara in the female lead, while Jackie Shroff plays an important role. The grand audio launch in Chennai was attended by the entire and crew sans Nayanthara. AR Rahman, who has composed the music for the film was also present at the Bigil audio launch. However, Vijay's speech at the event caught everyone's attention. Here's a look at top things said by the Tamil star at the event.

Vijay's take on the AIADMK:  At the audio launch, Vijay spoke about the current government of Tamil Nadu. “It’s only when people place the right persons for the appropriate positions, everything will be alright. People with the right skills must be employed in each industry. You can’t entrust a person who knows how to braid flowers to man a fireworks shop,” he said.

Addressing the death of a girl named Subasri who passed away in an unfortunate accident due to the illegal hoardings and banners, Vijay said, "The lorry driver has been arrested and the banner maker has been arrested. But, those who must be behind the bars are still roaming free."

About Nayanthara: At the grand event, Vijay also spoke about his co-star Nayanthara and how he is proud of her. He said, "This is my third film with Nayanthara including Sivakasi. You must have seen the song Kodambakam Area from the film. The song basically says that she has won hearts in all areas and it’s true. There are women who struggle to win and there’s Nayanthara who has won after all the struggles. I’m proud to work with her."

On social media war between his and Thala Ajith's fans: “Online fan wars are fine as long as they don't cross a line and continue to be fun. If they turn vicious and hurt people, it must be avoided. Social media has plenty of power which much be used for good. Starting hashtags on pressing issues such as at the time of Subasri's death can help bring greater awareness about an important issue,” Thalapathy Vijay said.

His philosophical comparison between life and football game: "Life is also a game. People try to create roadblocks when we try to hit goals. Sometimes, people on our side hit goal in favour of the opposition (means: backstabbing), but you don't try to imitate them."

On working with Jackie Shroff: "I feel proud to have worked with someone like Jackie Shroff who has done over 220 films in 13 languages. It’s a great achievement."
