Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, who had announced his retirment from ODIs after the World Cup, was seen for the last time in the green jersey as the team bowed out of the edition after their game with Bangladesh. Malik did not play the game, but was nonetheless given a guard of honour by his teammates after the match ended against Bangladesh. Pakistan won by 94 runs. 

The Men in Green failed to qualify for the semis despite winning four games on the trot.

Malik, who made his debut way back in 1999, played 287 ODIs from his nation, scoring 7534 runs at an average of 34.55 with nine hundreds and 44 fifties. He also picked up 158 wickets with his off-spin at an average of 39.18. He played his last game against India in the World Cup, where he was out for a duck. 

Pakistani fans took to Twitter to congratulate Malik on his career.
