IIFA Utsavam 2017: South stars dazzle at the awards ceremony
Many south stars attended the 2 day IIFA Utsavam event held in Hyderabad today.
The second edition of the IIFA Utsavam continued with much grandeur on the second day at Hyderabad today. The two-day event honoured the best talent across Tamil and Malayalam film industries on Tuesday.
Double Oscar-winning A.R Rahman was presented the award for best Music Direction for Tamil actioner Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada.
In the Malayalam film awards category, Dulquer Salmaan-starrer Charlie snapped seven awards. Dulquer bagged the best Leading Role Male for the film, which also won Best Direction for Martin Prakkat, best story for Unni R, best Comic Role for Soubin Shahir, best Lyrics for Santhosh Varma, best Music Director for Gopi Sunder and best Supporting Role Female for Aparna Gopinath.
Mohanlal's blockbuster Puli Murugan won the Best Film award.
Actress Rajisha Vijayan for the film Anuraga Karikkin Vellam won the best Leading Role Female award.
Aadupuliyattam won actor Sampath best Negative Role. Singer Sreya Jayadeep bagged the best Playback Singer Female while Vijay Yesudas won best Playback Singer Male award for Maheshinte Prathikaaram.
