As the saying goes, hard times will always reveal your true friends and this is what we experienced at the prayer meet of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father, Krishnaraj Rai.
Today, a prayer meet was held in Mumbai for the deceased soul and it was heartening to see that the entire film fraternity came together to pay their last respect to Aishwarya’s father. Besides Aishwarya’s family, we spotted Dimple Kapadia and daughter Twinkle Khanna at the prayer meet. After meeting Aishwarya Rai and her family, Dimple Kapadia and Twinkle Khanna left.
Thereafter, Sridevi and husband, Boney Kapoor came to pay their last respect to Aishwarya’s father.
As soon as Aishwarya’s publicist released a statement, the entire Bollywood sent their condolences and attended the prayer meet. The publicist stated, “Aishwarya’s father Krishnaraj Rai passed away at the Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra.”
Aishwarya’s father was suffering from lymphoma cancer, and owing to his critical condition, he was admitted to Lilavati Hospital two weeks ago. Thereafter, he was put on a ventilator at the Intensive Care Unit. Unfortunately, Krishnaraj Rai succumbed to the illness and passed away, after undergoing treatment for cancer.
Krishnaraj Rai’s funeral took place in the evening around 8:30 pm at Vile Parle Seva Sansthan Shamshan Bhoomi.
