#FriendshipDay " Karan and I are true soulmates " - Manish Malhotra
We can't talk about about friendships in Bollywood without mentioning one the most fashionable and stylish best friends, whose friendship survived for more than 20 years - Karan Johar and Manish Malhotra of course. In this #FriendshipDay, we take this opportunity to share with you this little throwback, when the two bffs described their friendship in an Hi!Blitz issue released in February, last year.
" What makes our friendship work so well and remain rock solid is that we are brutally honest with each other and also the fact that neither Karan nor I are egoistic people or take each other for granted ", says Manish, who insists he's always the last person to know if Karan is upset with him. 3 recently, we had this big fight, after which Karan took off to London for three weeks. And when he returned, he was surprised that I didn't even remember the fight in the first place. This despite him sending me terse one-line texts, which I simply put down to him being busy and hence the economising on words. I never read into anything too much or overanaluse things as he does ".
The Yin to the other's Yang, a healthy sort of co-dependence with strong underpinnings of trust and infectious camaraderie define their close bond that somehow completes these kindred spirits. " Ours is the kind of kinship that transcends familial bonds and conventional idioms of friendship ", says Manish. " Karan and I are both similar and different at the same time - true soulmates ". It's the kind of relationship where we don't see a reason to keep tabs on each other all the time.
