Pakistan vs South Africa Match Preview, Cricket World Cup 2019: All you need to know

The 30th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will see Pakistan take on South Africa at the "Mecca of Cricket". Both sides have performed way below their expectations and badly need a win to stay afloat in the competition. South Africa are placed eighth in the points while Pakistan take up the ninth position.

South Africa have played six matches and have won only once with four defeats and a washout. Pakistan on the other hand, have played five matches and have won one game against England with three defeats and a washout.

For South Africa, barring the game against Bangladesh, their bowlers have always risen up to the occasion. Even in the tournament opener against England, when they were going all guns blazing, it was their bowlers who kept the total down to 311. The problem has been with the batsmen who have failed to put enough runs on the board. Their only win came against Afghanistan which clearly sums up South Africa's World Cup campaign till now.

For Pakistan too, the problem lies with their batting. They were bounced out in their opening game by West Indies and in the next game out of nowhere they came back strongly to beat England. Since then, they have lost to Australia and India and are searching for a win to keep up their spirits high.
