The Indian edition of OK! has unveiled actor, singer, filmmaker and youth icon Farhan Akhtar as its pick for India’s Sexiest Dad 2011. The leading premium glossy magazine has conferred this annual title on one celebrity father every November since 2007. Past title holders have included Akshay Kumar [2007],Arjun Rampal [2008], Hrithik Roshan [2009] and Shah Rukh Khan [2010].
“Knowing who else has held this title before me, itjust feels nice to be a part of that club,” says Farhan, as he confesses thathis daughters Shakya and Akira pick out his clothes on a daily basis and occasionally call him ‘popsalat’ instead of ‘paa’.
In an intimate and exclusive interview with OK!INDIA Editor Sonali Velinker Kamat, Farhan also shares his mantra for parenting, discusses his parents’ separation with candour and takes rumour-mongers head on — tackling every subject with élan. “My girls have inherited their absolute hatred of mathematics from me and their love of horses from Adhuna,” India’s Sexiest Dad 2011 tells OK!.
