Indian batsman, KL Rahul has been in a decent form in the past three matches of the tournament. He smashed a brilliant half century against the Men in Green and scored 48 runs in the match against West Indies. KL Rahul expressed his disappointment and said that even though he is doing the hard work in getting through the first 10-15 overs, scoring the first 25-30 runs is the hardest. Rahul also mentioned that he is a bit disappointed for not taking the game deeper when it is the time to accelerate.

He also revealed that according to him, the shot he played in the match against Afghanistan which got him out wasn’t a bad one. He said that it was a shot he plays quite often and he hit it for four. However, he was unable to execute it that day.

He added that it won’t worry him that much as he still have a lot of thing going right. In the post match press conference, Rahul said that, “But again I can sit, I will sit and assess, but it won’t worry me that much because there are a lot of things I’m doing right, and I know that the mistakes I’ve made I can learn from them and get better.”

The Men in Blue will play their next match against the hosts on Sunday, 30 June at Edgbaston cricket ground.
