After an embarrassing defeat to India in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, a fan from Pakistan has filed a petition to ban the national cricket team. He also asked for the entire selection committee to be sacked.

The Pakistan team is facing strong criticism from former players and fans alike after they have been unable to leave a mark in the tournament. They are ninth in the points table with three points from five games and need to win all their remaining four matches to qualify.

The petitioner, whose name was not revealed, has called for a ban on the team while also asking that Inzamam-ul-Haq, the chief selector, be sacked. In response, the judge at the Gujranwala Civil Court in Punjab has summoned the officials of the PCB.

Meanwhile, major changes are expected in the coming days as the officials of the PCB meet to assess the poor tournament that Pakistan has had thus far. It is expected that coach Mickey Arthur will not be given an extension, with team manager Talat Ali and bowling coach Azhar Mahmood's contracts too being dismissed.
