ICC Cricket World Cup 2019: All's not well within the Pakistan Cricket Team
The Pakistan Cricket Team has been affected by groupism in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2019
All is not well within the Pakistan Cricket Team. After their humiliating loss to India earlier, the team received a lot of flak and criticism from experts and fans alike. Their fitness levels, lack of management and decision-making have all been much spoken about, and the recent news coming in as that the team has been divided into two groups - led by Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim.
The groupism has affected skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed, whose captaincy has already been under the scanner. As per a news channel in Pakistan, the captain lost his cool after the game with India on Sunday and blamed a set of players who failed to gel together and play as a unit during the game. He reportedly accused Imam-ul-Haq and Imad Wasim of forming a group and not supporting him.
Another media outlet reported that the feud is being led by Amir and Wasim, which is hampering the performamnce of the team. The lack of team spirit within the camp is not new, with many reports earlier suggesting that Shoaib Malik too was not in favour of Ahmed's captaincy.
Sarfaraz also issued a severe warning to his teammates if they crash out of the World Cup.
