Wrestlemania 35: Champion Kofi Kingston channels his inner Ranveer Singh, says 'apna time aayega'

Wrestlemania 35 came to an epic end with underdog Kofi Kingston walking away with the championship belt. Kofi's hard work and passion, as well as the overwhelming support from the WWE Universe, paid off as Kofi emerged victorious and beat Bryan to win his first WWE Championship. In a new video shared by WWE on YouTube, we got to see a super fun side of the wrestler along with his co-wrestlers Big E & Xavier Woods.
Speaking about the championship win, Kofi Kingston said, "This is amazing. This has been a lot of trials and tribulations. Lots of ups and downs. All types of struggles. But we're here now and without them (Big E and Xavier) none of this would have been possible." The wrestlers had also recently visited India and were asked if they had a message for their Indian fans. While Xavier said, "India, we love you," we were surprised with Kofi's reply.
Being his goofy self, the pro-wrestler said Ranveer Singh's popular dialogue from Gully Boy, "Apna time aayega." Taking the crew by surprise, Kofi flashed his wide smile and said 'oh yeah, we know'. Check out the video below:
With his win, Kofi made history as not only the first Ghanaian-born WWE Champion, he is also the first WWE Champion to be born anywhere in the continent of Africa. Kofi is officially a Grand Slam Champion as well. Netizens lauded the wrestler for all his efforts and could not help but the praise the Ghanian for his grit and determination.
