Wrestlemania 35: Twitterati goes gaga over Kofi Kingston's historic WWE Championship win over Daniel Bryan

Several years ago, an underdog named Daniel Bryan beat the odds and emerged victorious in one of the best Wrestlemania endings. This year, at Wrestlemania 35, the same underdog played the well-timed heel WWE Champion and paved way for another underdog, Kofi Kingston. Along with The New Day by his side to support him, Kofi also had the WWE Universe backing him up, just like they had done for Bryan all those years ago. And their match was an unmissable Wrestlemania moment, indeed.

Kofi's hard work and passion, as well as the overwhelming support from the WWE Universe, paid off as Kofi emerged victoriously and beat Bryan to win his first WWE Championship. After taking one hell of a beating from the former champ, Kofi evened the odds and ended things with a Trouble in Paradise. With his win, Kofi made history as not only the first Ghanaian-born WWE Champion, he is also the first WWE Champion to be born anywhere in the continent of Africa. Kofi is officially a Grand Slam Champion as well.

Kofi celebrated with Big E and Xavier Woods of The New Day as they have been with him throughout the journey to Wrestlemania 35. Kofi's two sons joined their father on stage as they danced along with the WWE Universe. It was a monumental moment for Kofi and something he will never forget. Neither will we.
