VMAs 2019: Sophie Turner's reaction to Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello's Señorita performance is PRICELESS
MTV Videos Music Awards 2019 aka VMAs 2019 took place a few hours ago. Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello set the stage on fire with their performance on their hit track Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello. While it became the talk of the town, Sophie Turner's reaction to it also caught everyone's attention.
Can we just give Sophie Turner an award for being the most relatable celebrity? The Game of Thrones actress has won Twitter over with her recent appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards 2019. Sophie accompanied her husband Joe Jonas and the other Jonas Brothers, Nick and Kevin, to the event. She cheered the loudest for the Jonas Brothers as they performed Sucker and won the Best Pop Video for the same. However, it was her reaction at the end of Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello's sizzling Señorita stole the show.
In a video shared by Joe, Sophie is seen cheering for the rumoured lovebirds before she starts rooting for them to kiss. On stage, Shawn and Camila prepare to draw the curtains over their VMA performance. The two come close to tease a possible kiss. This led to Sophie and Joe screaming, "kiss, kiss, kiss." However, Camila runs away without planting that highly-anticipated kiss on Shawn.
The no-kiss moment left Sophie and Joe disappointed. Joe took to Twitter to share the hilarious yet relatable moment and wrote, "#VMAs are over, but we’re still waiting for that kiss tho @Camila_Cabello @ShawnMendes.
Videos from the awards night also show several other stars in the audience rooting for Shawn and Camila to kiss. This includes Taylor's friends. While the kiss did not take place, Shawn and Camila packed in the needed PDA at the event. From exchanging kisses in the audience to putting up a steamy performance on stage, Shawn and Camila caught everyone's attention. Apart from their performance, Shawn and Camila took the stage to receive their VMA for Best Collaboration. "We're just super happy that everyone loves the song," Mendes said accepting the award and thanking everyone who made the video happen. Cabello chipped in and said, "What he said," before she thanked the fans and added: "Get wasted!"
