Venom 2: After Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams set to return for the Andy Serkis directorial
After it was confirmed that Tom Hardy will be returning as Venom and Andy Serkis will be helming Venom 2, Michelle Williams has now confirmed that she will be returning to the Venom world as well.
While we are not sure if Tom Holland's Spider-Man would feature in Venom 2, we sure know that Eddie Brock would have some love in the Venom sequel. It has been announced that the actor will return for another round of Venom in the sequel. The actor brought to life the comic book character in 2018. The movie wasn't critically acclaimed. However, it minted a solid box office collection at the box office worldwide. A few days ago, it was revealed that Andy Serkis has been roped in to helm the Venom sequel.
Now, it has been revealed that Michelle Williams will also be seen in Venom 2. The actress was seen in the first Venom essaying the role of Anne Weying. Venom fans would remember that she played Eddie's love interest in the first movie. The actress confirmed her return in an interview with Yahoo!
She not only confirmed her return but also was all praise for actor-turned-director Serkis. "I’m such a fan of Andy’s, and I’m so inspired by what he’s been able to accomplish. He’s so gifted in such a specific way, and I’m very excited to learn from him and be around him," she said. The actress also hopes to see the return of She-Venom. She said, "I hope I get equal time that way — I can say that!"
While we know about the two protagonists, more details about the project are yet to be revealed. Venom 2. However, Venom producer Avi Arad has confirmed that Venom 2 will be rated PG-13. It has also been revealed that Hardy has helped in the writing of Venom 2. The movie doesn't have a concrete release date, Venom 2 is expected to hit the theatres in October 2020.
