Although Marvel fans and Holland's father Dominic Holland chanting "Save Spider-Man" on social media, the British actor has come to terms with Spider-Man exiting the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Reacting to the superhero's exit, Holland assured that he will continue to play the popular superhero, even if he is not a part of MCU.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Holland thanked everyone involved in helping him get an opportunity to be in the same franchise as iconic Marvel characters like Iron Man, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel. He further assured that the future of Spider-Man is going to be different, awesome and amazing.

“Basically, we’ve made five great movies. It’s been five amazing years. I’ve had the time of my life. Who knows what the future holds? But all I know is that I’m going to continue playing Spider-Man and having the time of my life. It’s going to be so fun, however we choose to do it. The future for Spider-Man will be different, but it will be equally as awesome and amazing, and we’ll find new ways to make it even cooler," he said.

If this wasn't heartbreaking enough, the actor took to the D23 stage and gave a huge shoutout to his fans. "Listen, it's been a crazy week, but I want you to know, I am grateful from the bottom of my heart, and I love you 3000," Holland said, which led to the crowd erupting. The actor came on stage for Walt Disney Studios' presentation of their new Pixar movie titled Onward. The movie also features Holland's Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame co-star Chris Pratt in it.
