Taylor Swift leaves her fans in shock as the singer just dropped a dream collaboration with Shawn Mendes for a remix version of her hit single, Lover. Listen to the mesmerising love song below.
When Taylor Swift released the song Lover, from her album also titled Lover, in 2019, we were beckoned into a new era succeeding the more gothic Reputation era. The song, in particular, had a Christmas feel attached while the beyond cheesy yet romantic music video left us in awe. It showed us that the singer had finally found the love she was looking for and penned it in the most romantic way ever! How do you, top Lover? You bring in the equally lovestruck Shawn Mendes, who won't just sing along but bring his own version of love to the mix and capture our hearts.
Lover Remix surely came as a surprise for Swifties and Shawnies both, who could not get enough of their idols collaborating. In the remix version, we hear Taylor take the front seat as she belts out the same lyrics as before giving us the nostalgic feels. In comes Shawn with his soothing vocals that perfectly compliments the tone of Ms. Swift. Mendes adds a fresh perspective by adding new lyrics, which makes us incredibly jealous of one Ms. Camila Cabello, and you guys know why! "I'll sing love songs to you when we're eighty," the 21-year-old croons and we're officially melting!

Taking to her Instagram account, the 29-year-old songstress revealed that she was dying to collaborate with the In My Blood singer for the longest time as she was a big fan and finally, the dream collab took place.
"He has taken Lover and he has re-written parts of it, which I think is so important because I love him as a writer. And I also think that everybody would write a different love letter to their lover and I think his take on it is so beautiful," Taylor gushed about Shawn.
