Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: 5 aspects about the Disneyland spectacle that will leave Warsies in awe
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is like a state of Euphoria for diehard Star Wars fans. From being able to build your own lightsabers and droids to customised food and beverages, you will never want to say goodbye to this galaxy far, far away. Read below to know more about the Disneyland spectacle.
During an Imagineers session before the D23 Expo, journalists were made aware of the main motto behind the latest Disneyland attraction that has everyone in awe; Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. "Live your own Star Wars story," is what you experience in this Disneyland spectacle. Pinkvilla got a chance to witness the experience in live and living colour, during the early hours when Disneyland Park, California was shut to the public. It was on May 31, 2019, when Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opened its doors for the common folk and diehard fans aka Warsies got to live in their own versions of La La Land.
There is a sense of intimate feelings attached to the construction of the land, with attention to detail, in regards to everything! And, we mean everything! From coke bottles in the shape of droids and writings in the native language to how the employees are dressed; from customised food items like Mustafarian Lava Roll to beverages like Blue Milk and Green Milk, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge has not compromised in anything. On August 29, 2019, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge was inaugurated in Walt Disney World Resort, Florida, as well.
Here are five aspects that impressed us during our visit to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland Park, California:
1. Ride the Millennium Falcon

One of the main attractions of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Star Wars fans get to go inside the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon where six players will get divided into pilots, gunner and engineers. You are then transported to a galaxy far, far away and have to complete a smuggling mission. It's a spectacle that needs to be witnessed in person to believe and once you come out, you'll never see real-life, the same way again!
2. Build your own lightsabers and droids

Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers and Droid Depot gives the Star Wars fans a chance to build their own lightsabers and droids. Depending on the colour palette and unique powers, you can customise your very own lightsaber, which will be different from the rest. On the other hand, you can either build an R-series droid or a BB-series droid to your customised needs.
3. Customised food and beverages

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo has customised food items like Mustafarian Lava Roll and the Rising Moons Overnight (Oars Parfait). On the other hand, fans can wind down at Oga’s Cantina which has customised drinks like Spiran Caf and Bloody Rancor. Then there's the Milk Stand which offers local favourites such as Blue Milk and Green Milk while on the other hand, you can head out to Ronto Roasters for some delicious Ronto Wraps.
4. Meet Chewbacca and Kylo Ren

As you roam around the Black Spire Outpost, you will get to interact with the friendly Chewbacca, with whom selfies and Boomerangs will brighten up your day. On the other hand, steer clear of Kylo Ren and his bunch of stormtroopers as they come marching around.
5. Easter Eggs

Easter Eggs is what makes us revisit franchises again and again and again! Look out for some epic Easter eggs from past, present and future Star Wars films. Hint: Look at the ceiling of Droid Depot. Thank us later!
Besides Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will also include a new attraction towards the end of the year; Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Fans will be put front and center during the battle between the First Order and the Resistance.
