The Eternals star Angelina Jolie CORNERED Star Wars' JJ Abrams at D23 to ask THIS important question
Angelina Jolie will soon be seen in MCU's The Eternals and reprising the role of Maleficent in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. But the actress really, really wants to join the Star Wars universe.
Angelina Jolie has asked Star Wars' JJ Abrams a million dollar question at the recently concluded D23 Expo. The Eternals actress made her way to the bi-annual expo hosted by Walt Disney Pictures to be a part of two presentations. She was a part of The Eternals presentation, through which she marks her MCU debut. She was also present at the event to be a part of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. However, the actress caught JJ Abrams and cornered him in the hallway during the event to ask him why she wasn't in a Star Wars movie yet.
Speaking to MTV, Angelina revealed she tried to "cornered" JJ at the event. She explained that her interaction with the filmmaker was all things good. She went on to reveal that she asked him about why she wasn't a part of the Star Wars universe yet. "I tried. I cornered J.J. in the hallway," Jolie laughed before adding that her interaction was "pretty good. He's so nice. I have said to him, I have no idea why I can't be in Star Wars."
While Angelina really, really wants to be a part of the Star Wars, she hasn't narrowed down on which role she wants to play in the franchise. Well, Ange, you have a lot of time to figure that out as Star Wars is busy with the final Skywalker Saga movie, The Rise of Skywalker and Disney Plus show, The Mandalorian. Apart from that, Angelina has a shot at the Star Wars world given that Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss have been roped into the universe to tell new stories from the Star Wars franchise.
