Spider Man: Far From Home: Tom Holland wants Peter Parker to crossover with THIS Avengers: Endgame character
Spider-Man: Far From Home star Tom Holland wants Peter Parker to cross paths with an Avengers: Endgame character. Find out who below.
Tom Holland's Spider-Man shared the closest bond with Tony Stark aka Iron Man. The Sony-owned character was introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe through the Robert Downey Jr-donned superhero in Captain America: Civil War. Ever since the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man has looked up to Tony as his mentor. We saw Peter Parker bond with Tony in Spider-Man: Homecoming before they looked like a father-son duo in Avengers: Infinity War. But the 2018 release also saw Spider-Man establish a new relationship with Doctor Strange. Benedict Cumberbatch's MCU alter ego flew to Titan with Tony and Peter to fight Thanos.
Now that Tony will no longer be seen in MCU's future (except for maybe flashbacks and references), Holland expressed his interest in watching Peter cross paths with Strange in MCU phase 4. The actor, who will be seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home, feels that it would be great to see Spider-Man and Doctor Strange team up for a movie. He feels it would be a treat for fans to see science and magic cross paths.
"I’m really wanting to do a team-up with Doctor Strange, because we’re both New Yorkers and I just really like the idea of a science guy being teamed up with a guy who does magic, because it totally contradicts everything he knows. And I like the idea that there is real science that Peter Parker talks about, and then there’s Doctor Strange gibberish, where he’s like ‘The time rift and the thing and the thing.’ So it’s kind of fun," he told CinemaBlend in an interview. We wonder if the two superheroes "accidentally" bump into each other in a dark alley of New York.
Meanwhile, Holland's Spider-Man will cross paths of Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio in Europe in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Together, they will fight against The Elementals. The new Spider-Man movie sees several MCU characters reprising their roles. This includes Zendaya's Michelle "MJ" Jones, Samuel L Jackson's Nick Fury and Jacob Batalon's Ned Leeds. Spider-Man: Far From Home releases on July 5.
