Back when Venom was releasing, fans were curious to know if Tom Holland's Spider-Man would feature in the movie. The October release starred Tom Hardy in the lead. While fans did not stop expecting a cameo from the friendly-neighbourhood Spider-Man, Sony poured water on fans' expectations. Venom released sans Spider-Man. Over the past few weeks, speculations arose again suggesting that Spider-Man and Venom could cross paths. A rumour suggested that Tom Holland's alter superhero ego could meet his nemesis, played by Tom Hardy, in an untitled Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel. The news left got fans excited. While Sony is yet to react, Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige has addressed the rumours.

The producer recently teased the future of Marvel Cinematic Universe during an interview with Comicbook.com. During his discussion, he was quizzed about the possibility of a Venom and Spider-Man crossover. Kevin admitted that he would be up for it but it is all up to Sony to make it happen. For the unversed, Sony holds rights to Spider-Man and Venom.

"I think probably it's up to Sony. Sony has both those characters and, has Venom in their world. I don't know what their plans are for another Venom or if they’re doing that. But it seems likely at some point," he said.

There were also rumours that Deadpool could hippity hopping into his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Kevin shot those rumours down. "No I mean we're certainly having conversations about the future of all of those Fox properties. How to weave them in and when to weave them in. That one, in particular, is not the case," he said. This means, the Marvel character would enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a different way.
