WWE News: Seth Rollins wants to face CM Punk at Wrestlemania 36; criticises him for taking WWE Backstage role

Seth Rollins spoke candidly in an interview about how he feels the only possible match for himself and CM Punk deserves nothing less than the main event of Wrestlemania 36. The Beastslayer also questioned Punk's decision to join WWE Backstage inspite of leaving the wrestling company in 2014, under not so amicable terms.

Seth Rollins took his chances at having a 'possible' spectacular match when he challenged CM Punk on Twitter, post the announcement that the latter was returning to the wrestling world as an analyst on WWE Backstage. However, Punk was quick to dismiss the challenge and instead advised the former Universal Champion to stop tweeting. While Seth responded by calling Punk a coward, Rollins divulged some more details about the dream match with the former WWE wrestler, during an interview with 101 WKQX.

"The bottom line is - wherever, whenever he wants to do the thing, if he wants to man up and do it, I'm there. For me, the only place the match happens is at WrestleMania, in the main event. That's the only reason I'm picking a fight with him. I've got no other interest than that. If he's interested, it's out there. Any time you're ready, let's go," the 33-year-old wrestler revealed to 101 WKQX. While talking about Punk's dig on him, Rollins added that for someone who is telling him to look for relevancy, we have the same person in the doldrums for the past few years because he got his butt kicked in the Octogan, which was so bad that he didn't want to show his face anywhere.

Seth continued that Punk now shows back up on WWE Backstage and no matter whoever calls it an FS1 show or the fact that he gets paid by FOX, the show doesn't exist without the wrestling company, which Punk left five years ago. So Rollins feels that Punk can say and play it, however, he wants as it's what he always does.

"You couldn't bust a cherry in a fruit fight, dude. I want to make some money - so, if CM Punk wants to talk all the smack in the world, I've invited him a million times now to come to my ring, to my domain, on live television. Where you can't hide behind anything, no desk in LA. Come, let's do this thing, man. Let's fight, let's fight it out like men," Rollins concluded.
