Mourning the end of Avengers: Endgame, Game of Thrones? 7 Upcoming movies prove there is life beyond the two

It is a difficult time for Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones fans. On the one hand, the ten-year-long journey of the core Avengers is coming to an end with Endgame. On the other hand, the Battle of Winterfell takes place on April 28, which will kill a few of our favourite GoT characters. While we feel that the world is coming crashing down on us, Hollywood has planned a few movies that will help us cope with the two losses.

This summer has several interesting movies lined up to cheer up audiences. From live-action movies to mutants causing chaos, these seven movies will help ease the pain of losing the Starks, Rogers and other characters. Without further ado, here's a look at the movies releasing this summer:

POKÉMON Detective Pikachu:

Last year, Ryan Reynolds tickled the funny bone with Deadpool 2. This year, he turns into Pikachu for POKÉMON Detective Pikachu. The trailers promise a fun trip down the memory lane. The movie is set to release on May 10, 2019.

Aladdin:

After Pikachu, Disney is all set to take us on a mesmerising journey through Agrabah with Aladdin. We can already picture ourselves jumping like children. This time around, Will Smith is bringing Genie to life, Naomi Scott plays Princess Jasmine and Mena Massoud plays the titular role. The movie releases on May 24, 2019.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters:

Godzilla is coming to terrorise theatres yet again with Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The makers are selling the movie as the biggest movie of the summer. No, no, not in terms of box office but in terms of making. Forbes reports that the makers are talking in terms of size, scale and planetary carnage. We'll have to wait for its release, on May 31, to find out if it meets its promises.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix:

Sophie Turner may be kissing Sansa Stark goodbye this summer. But she is preparing to set the big screen on fire with X-Men: Dark Phoenix. The movie is the first X-Men release since Disney and Fox deal came through. X-Men: Dark Phoenix releases on June 1.

Men In Black: International:

Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson are reuniting to save the world sans superhero powers. The two stars are turning into men (and women) in black in Men In Black: International. The two stars are using high-end gadgets to fight aliens in this flick releasing on June 14.

Toy Story 4:

The toys reunite on the big screen after eight years. If this doesn't excite you, we don't know what will. The toys this time have a new member joining and it seems like an emotional roller coaster awaits us. Toy Story release on June 21, 2019.

Spider-Man: Far From Home:

We know the new Spider-Man is far from its release date as of now. But we couldn't end our list with the mention of the Tom Holland starrer. After all, this is the first Marvel character movie post-Avengers: Endgame. Spider-Man: Far From Home is slated to release on July 2, 2019.
