Modern Family's Julie Bowen 'can't wait' for her onscreen daughter Sarah Hyland's wedding to Wells Adams
Sarah Hyland, who started off on the show as a young teenager, will soon be walking down the aisle to her fiance Wells Adams and her onscreen mum Julie Bowen aka Claire Dunphy couldn't be more excited.
One of the most beloved TV shows, Modern Family, may soon be approaching its end, but the cast have made some strong bonds that ought to last a lifetime. Sarah Hyland, who started off on the show as a young teenager, will soon be walking down the aisle with her fiance Wells Adams and her onscreen mum Julie Bowen aka Claire Dunphy couldn't be more excited. Over the years, the onscreen mother-daughter duo have developed a great friendship and Julie revealed that she wouldn't miss Sarah's wedding for anything.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Julie was quizzed if she was excited for Sarah's big day. The actress said, "I am. It is the same weekend as a humongous birthday party of a friend of mine in Italy that I agreed to go to, and I’m like, ‘How am I going to do this?’ But I am. I’m going to do it."
She further added, "I’m going to be on a lot of planes, but I’m doing it. Yeah, I can’t miss Sarah’s wedding. I can’t wait. It’s going to be so beautiful." Sarah and Wells got engaged earlier this year when he popped the question while the two were on vacation. Julie also thinks that the two complement each other perfectly.
"I think that Wells — they balance each other. She’s been a professional actress since she was a kid. She’s got grit and drive and Wells is, kind of oddly more … He’s got a lot of grit and drive too, but he’s a little bit, he seems kind of laid back. They just balance each other’s energies really well and yet they’re both super driven and supportive of each other’s careers." The couple haven't yet marked their calendars.
