Miley Cyrus breaks her silence on Cody Simpson; says we should get used to her dating now
Miley Cyrus took to her Twitter page to break her silence on the constant media attention on her dating life, with the major recent target being Cody Simpson. The Slide Away singer also spoke about her past relationship with Liam Hemsworth while proclaiming that we should get used to her dating.
Miley Cyrus' personal life has been juicy fodder for the media in the span of just three months. Firstly, the Slide Away singer broke off her marriage with Liam Hemsworth, after just seven months of getting hitched. She immediately moved on with Brody Jenner's ex-girlfriend, Kaitlynn Carter. After two months, Miley and Kaitlynn called it quits as well. Two weeks later, Cyrus was spotted making out with close friend Cody Simpson at a Los Angeles grocery store. The 26-year-old took to her Twitter page to set the record straight.
"1. I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it thru(sic) from the beginning... I think that's why people have always felt so entitled over my life and how I live it because they've watched me grow up.... but I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality. People only "know" what they see on the internet," Miley began in her two-part tweets. Cyrus then went on to talk about the double standards where only women are "slut-shamed" whereas men are referred to as "legends" and 'ladies man'. All The Last Song (2010) star wants is to survive in a "man's" world! Miley also took a potshot at US President Donald Trump.
Cyrus also firmly states that she refuses to recluse and date from home because firstly, it's no fun and secondly it's extremely uncomfortable. She would like to share an activity with someone that she was dating instead of being stuck at home.<

Speaking about her past relationship with Liam, Miley continued, "This "dating" thing is new to me too. I've never been an "adult"/ gown a** woman experiencing this... I was in a committed relationship for all my teens and early 20s; with the exception of a few breaks, which usually in those times I was working my a** off with not much R&R..." and added, "and "meeting/trusting" people in my position is really tough. Don't pity me, not what I'm asking for. I have a great life I wouldn't trade for "privacy" but please don't make this awkward for me! I am trying to make light and like always MAKE FUN of myself/and the public's perception of me! Get used to me dating - this is where I am at! #HotGirlFall."
