Meryl Streep receives heartwarming birthday notes from Big Little Lies costars Reese Witherspoon & Laura Dern

Meryl Streep has been the talk of the town lately. The actress is on everyone's mind courtesy her act in Big Little Lies season 2. She plays Mary Louise Wright, mother of Perry Wright. Her character entered the HBO show seeking to find out what exactly happened to her son the night of the gala. While she has everyone's attention on-screen, off-screen she was the talk of social media over the weekend. The actress celebrated her birthday on June 22. The Oscar-winning actress turned 70. However, she proves age is just a number. 

Fans of the Hollywood actress took to social media to shower their favourite actress with love. From birthday wishes to naming their favourite Meryl Streep moment, social media marked her birthday in their own way. Meryl's Big Little Lies co-stars were not far behind either. Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern took to social media to wish the talented actress. They shared pictures of the actress and penned down heartfelt messages to mark Meryl's birthday. 

Reese, who plays Madeline on the show, shared a picture of Meryl and wrote, "Happy Birthday, Meryl! Sending so much birthday love to this talented creature! What a privilege and an honor to work with you on @biglittlelies!" 

Laura, who essays the role of Renata on Big Little Lies, shared a photo taken with Meryl and wrote, "This girl became my legend. And I do declare today an international holiday. Muse Day!  Here here! Then I actually got to not only meet my hero but work with her. I thank the Gods." 

Last year, the cast and crew of Big Little Lies were together on Meryl's birthday and they wished the actress in a series of videos. While Mary has been cautious of the five ladies from Monterey, Meryl loves them dearly off-screen. At the time of filming, the ladies bonded over several activities, including bowling. 

Big Little Lies season 2 has already aired two episodes. The third episode airs on June 23 in the US and June 24 in India.
