Meghan Markle & Prince Harry’s rep REVEALS details about their SECRET wedding after Oprah Winfrey's interview

After Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview aired yesterday, we were left with some pretty brutal revelations about the royal family. People also had several questions in mind for the duo who bared it all. Now, the duo’s rep is finally speaking out in response to all of the speculation about when the couple actually got married. During the couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, they revealed that they tied the knot three days before their televised formal wedding at Windsor Castle.

“Three days before our wedding, we got married,” Meghan said, explaining that Archbishop of Canterbury performed the ceremony in the backyard. A new report was released on Monday afternoon and it explained how the wedding was likely not recognized by the church because of various reasons that barred the nuptials from being official. Now, a rep is confirming a key detail about their wedding. The couple’s spokesperson confirmed to E! News that they were “legally married on May 19,” which is the date of their televised wedding. The private ceremony that took place three days before that date seemingly was just for sentimental reasons and it wasn’t a legally binding wedding.

If you missed it, the duo discussed everything from Meghan's mental health struggles with 'The Firm' offering next to no support to Prince Harry revealing that he was financially cut off by his family in the first half/quarter of 2020, the couple bared their heart and soul to Oprah. And Deadline recently reported that Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special saw strong numbers coming in for CBS as 17.1 million viewers tuned in to know what Meghan and Harry had to say. Moreover the two-hour special pulled in a 2.6 rating among adults 18-49. Interestingly, Meghan and Harry's interview was viewed more than the Emmys and Golden Globes put together.
